A message from ICCA: The Second Edition of ICCA's Guide to the New York Convention available now
ICCA is pleased to announce the launch of the Second Edition of ICCA’s Guide to the Interpretation of the 1958 New York Convention, developed by ICCA’s Judiciary Committee.
The Second Edition of the Guide updates case law and language and expands on points of interest.
The launch of the Second Edition of the Guide was celebrated during the 26th ICCA Congress in Hong Kong, with the participation of Prof Albert Jan van den Berg, former Judiciary Committee Chair and a founding member of the project.
The Guide is a clear, concise, and inclusive handbook, written in plain language, covering the essential aspects of the scope, interpretation, and application of the Convention. While its primary audience is judges determining applications under the Convention, the Guide, drawing from the extensive practical and academic experience of its authors (prominent arbitrators and ICCA members), will also appeal to students, teachers, and practitioners as an introductory resource on the Convention.
The Second Edition of the Guide is available in its entirety, in English and Chinese, on ICCA’s website. Other translations will be available shortly.
