In a very short decision, the District Court granted Certain Underwriters’ motion to compel arbitration of an insurance dispute for the recovery for damages to a property due to Hurricane Ida. Certain Underwriters pointed out that the Court had previously stayed a nearly identical action involving essentially the same parties, the same insurance contract, and the same arbitration clause, seeking compensation for alleged losses to the same property resulting from Hurricane Zeta. Absent any opposition from the plaintiff, the Court saw no reason to depart from its prior reasoning.
