Suriname accedes to the New York Convention

Suriname has made a declaration upon accession: "[Suriname declares that] … on the basis of reciprocity …  it will apply the Convention to the recognition and enforcement of awards made only in the territory of another Contracting State. It [further declares] that it will apply the Convention only to differences arising out of legal relationships, whether contractual or not, which are considered as commercial under the national law of [Suriname]."

Suriname, officially the Republic of Suriname is a country in South America. At just under 165,000 square kilometers (64,000 square miles), it is the smallest sovereign state in South America.
